MRC (Managed Release Concept)

Welcome to the Managed Release Concept (MRC) Training. In this module, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will introduce the foundational principles of MRC Stormwater Control Measures (SCMs) and their design standards.

Through this training, participants will gain the knowledge and skills needed to effectively implement MRC SCMs. This course is designed for professionals involved in stormwater management, planning, and design, providing practical guidance to support sustainable and compliant stormwater practices.

2024 PAG-02 General Permit

This course provides training on the 2024 PAG-02 General Permit for Discharges of Stormwater Associated with Construction Activities, including information on changes in comparison to the 2019 PAG-02 General Permit; eligibility requirements; how to complete the PAG-02 NOI; and an explanation of new requirements. 


PAG-01 NPDES General Permit (2022)

This course provides training on the PAG-01 NPDES General Permit for Stormwater Discharges Associated with Small Construction Activities, effective March 1, 2022. In this course DEP provides an overview of PAG-01; explains similarities and differences compared to the PAG-02 General Permit; describes the suite of PCSM BMPs available under PAG-01; addresses the NOI requirements for PAG-01; and provides an explanation of post-approval requirements.
