TOOLS FOR LOCATING HISTORIC CHANGES - Goerman
The presentation will provide an overview and discussion of a variety of data sets that have
been recently developed by the Waterways and Wetlands program to assist with identifying
potential restoration site locations, evaluating watershed alterations. Datasets like modeled
restorable wetlands, topographic wetness index, breached dam locations, geomorphon
landform, and valley mapping. In addition, a discussion of historic map resources that are
available online will be included. These maps often show the location of pre 1900 waterpower
era dam locations.
