CAP Coordinator Onboarding Resources

This section of the Implementation Guide overviews potential permit considerations and the resources available to learn more about permitting for watershed improvement efforts. Permitting is a key consideration for CAP Coordinators in determining the potential timeline of a project’s development and funding readiness.

Note: The CAP Coordinator is not expected (but can) to submit projects to DEP’s Permit Application Consultation Tool (PACT), but the CAP Coordinator should: encourage project owners or landowners to use PACT; be able to walk potential permit applicants through PACT; and attend pre-application meetings, whenever possible.
