Murray Ridge Park BMP Implementation and Retrofit

The Murry Ridge Park is a public park owned by West Hempfield Township with a parking lot, basketball court, walking trail and a large expanse of mowed grass. Township staff recognized the opportunity to upgrade existing stormwater facilities to enhance stormwater treatment through a basin retrofit and to convert the lawn into a natural area that would attract native songbirds, pollinators and small mammals.
