PennDOT and RES will provide an overview of the Sinking Springs Pilot Project BMP in York County. This project is an integrated wetland/stream restoration BMP that was designed, permitted, and constructed in under one year (2019), and provided over 200,000 pounds of sediment reduction credit towards PennDOT’s MS4 reduction goal. The speed, quality, and cost-effectiveness of the created thru the innovative ‘design-build-operate-maintain’ procurement approach developed by PennDOT and applied by an experienced restoration project implementer. PennDOT will review the status of its Pollutant Reduction Plan MS4 Credit Projects as well as best practices associated with those projects and opportunities for municipal partnerships.
