This three-part course gives you a practical introduction to Dam Safety. We start by looking back at historic dam failures, exploring what went wrong and what lessons were learned. From there, we move into the regulations that guide how dams are built, maintained, and monitored today.
Once you understand the rules, we dive into the hands-on side of things—inspections and maintenance—so you know what to look for and how to keep a dam functioning safely. Finally, we wrap up with one of the most important topics: responding to emergencies, giving you the knowledge you need to act quickly and effectively if something goes wrong.
This course will take about 90 minutes to complete. To receive full credit, you must pass the Knowledge Checks for all three parts with a score of 70% or higher.
