CAP Annual Progress Reporting and Milestone Updates
1. Counties report Annual Progress to DEP every year as part of their Countywide Action Plan (CAP) reporting. This gives counties the opportunity to highlight their accomplishments over the past 12 months, and a chance to look forward while planning for the upcoming reporting year. To do this, counties fill out a Phase 3 WIP Annual Progress Update form.
See 1:00:53 through 1:04:00 of this webinar for additional explanation on the parts of the Progress Update form.
See also Clean Water Implementation Guide (Page 42), which provides a summary of the annual reporting process in one page. Note: FieldDoc is referenced in this document. FieldDoc is no longer in use, CAP-funded practices are all stored via PracticeKeeper.
2. This link provides a template Excel document of the Annual Progress Update and Milestone Reporting document. Prior versions of these documents can be found on this webpage (under Phase 1 and Phase 2 sections).
For counties providing just annual progress updates, the column titled, “Annual Progress to Date” will be where those updates are entered, and all other fields will remain the same.
Note: We recommend mentorship in this area. Please reach out to your Project Advisor when preparing to complete your progress reporting or contact a peer CAP Coordinator.
Once finished, please check the box on the right hand side to mark this activity as complete.
This document lists the various CAP Coordinators for different counties. Some counties have multiple individuals that fulfill roles related to a CAP Coordinator, and some counties have a partnership between a private sector firm and a conservation district staff member or planning commission. CAP Coordinators are encouraged to reach out to one another and learn from each other.
