Applying for the CAP Grant
Though the Countywide Action Plan (CAP) Grant is submitted via an online tool, CAP Coordinators can use this document as a guide when preparing their application for submission. The information listed in this document is representative of the information that the CAP Coordinator should have available about the project(s) before applying for CAP Implementation funds.
The first hour of this webinar features information about the CAP Grant with a focus on the grant application timeline. The CAP portion of this webinar also features explanations about tools meant to aid CAP Coordinators in tracking grant spending and to aid in sharing information about their county’s CAP. The latter portion of the webinar features information related to other grants including Section 319, Growing Greener, and the Agriculture Conservation Assistance Program (ACAP).
This guide lists various best management practices that reduce nutrient pollution. These are practices that would be eligible for funding by the CAP Program. This can be used for reference as a CAP Coordinator is evaluating whether or not a potential project would be a good fit for applying for CAP implementation funding.
