Course Lessons
- This lesson will provide a basic overview of wetland definitions, regulations, history of wetland lost, wetland economic and ecologic importance, basic wetland features and identification, wetland types, and wetland mapping and inventory within the agricultural context.
- This lesson will cover a brief history of wetland losses in the United States and Pennsylvania. It focuses on how agricultural wetlands were lost and opportunities for improving wetlands looking at changes in wetlands in agriculture through time.
- This lesson will discuss constructing treatment wetlands as best management practices in agriculture, discuss several scenarios of different wetland enhancement restoration or BMPs in agriculture, and provide resources for agricultural operators for investigating wetland opportunities on their operations.
