The Land Application of Biosolids and Residential Septage Training Course provides essential instruction on regulatory requirements, sampling procedures, nutrient management, and calculating agronomic application rates.
Per Chapter 271, §271.915(j), anyone who land‑applies or prepares sewage sludge or residential septage must complete this DEP-approved course within one year of starting land application activities.
Participants should bring a calculator and a pen or pencil. Septage haulers should also bring their pH meter and instruction manual.
The purpose of the conference is to facilitate knowledge transfer among scientists, regulators, and practitioners involved in aquatic resource restoration work in a scientifically sound manner using an evidence-based approach in recognition of modern constraints that results in the restoration of resilient aquatic resources.
