Agricultural TMDLs and the Evolution of Fishing Creek Alternative Restoration Plan
Course Sponsor: PA DEP
The Agricultural TMDLs and the Evolution of the Fishing Creek Alternative Restoration Plan webinar provides an explanation of agricultural TMDL development as well as introduces the new TMDL Alternative approach to watershed restoration. Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs) are required to be developed under the Clean Water Act for impaired stream segments. Nonpoint Source pollution (NPS) TMDLs, including agriculture, are challenging to implement after being developed. Thus, TMDL Alternatives are creative new approaches to restoring NPS impaired watersheds and are described here using the Fishing Creek Alternative Restoration Plan in Lancaster County as an example.
Four (4) course activities are available including the webinar.
